Equipment/Training

The Equalizer™ wrist weights offer exceptional fit and comfort.  Additional inserts can be purchased and added if you want a more challenging weight for your legs (e.g., walking, running, Martial Arts, etc.)  We would recommend not exceeding 2 pounds per ankle/wrist weight. The inserts that come with The Equalizer™ total one-pound per sleeve. This is enough for most training routines. The weight sleeve is designed to add another two 1/2 pound inserts if you feel you need to add more weight later making the weight 2-lbs per sleeve.

CAUTION! If the ankle weight is too heavy it can cause joint stress and even muscle strain or overload of the joints and can create stress on the back and hips. Not to mention the risk of tendon or ligament injuries.

  • These items are used with the Equalizer™ to create weight and resistance variability. Flex-Metal® was invented and patented by an advanced material development contractor for NASA during the expansion of metal matrix composites for aerospace applications. Flex-Metal® is a composite material consisting of atomized high iron suspended in a flexible polymer matrix. Flex-Metal® is compounded to be the same durometer (softness) as human skin. This allows weights made of Flex-Metal® to easily move, bend and conform to the shape of the wearer. Because of their properties, Flex-Metal® weights are much safer to use than any other type of weights. They can be quickly and easily removed and used as wrist and/or ankle weights for punching and kicking when not using The Equalizer™.
